Join Compass Center for Women and Families at Martha’s Day 2014, 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, July 8 at Vimala’s Curryblossom Café in Chapel Hill. Martha’s Day is a celebration of Martha Pearson, who lost her life to domestic violence in 1995, and a chance to come together as a community to address the impact of domestic violence on our community.
Tickets to Martha’s Day are $35 and include dinner from Vimala’s, live music from Tristan Yonce and Steve Price, and a $20 donation to Compass Center for Women and Families. Buy your tickets online at www.compassctr.org/marthasday.
Can’t make the event? You can make a donation to Martha’s Day online, or you can purchase raffle tickets online at www.compassctr.org/marthasday. You do not have to be present to win! Raffle prizes include a brand new iPad Mini and a 90-minute massage with Healing Earth Resources, and each raffle ticket purchased doubles as a free ticket to a summer show at DSI Comedy.
Martha’s Day is presented by Molly Maid of Chapel Hill and sponsored by Vimala’s Curryblossom Café, Chapel Hill Tire Car Care Center, DSI Comedy, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA, A Better Image Printing, Cake and Enitech IT Support and Consulting.
All proceeds from Martha’s Day benefit Compass Center for Women and Families, an organization that serves women, men and children experiencing domestic violence in our community.
