With everything from the gospel favorite “I’ll Fly Away,” to Janice Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee,” no song was off limits at the 2015 Marathon Jam! Now in it’s 12th year, 100% of the proceeds from the Marathon Jam go to support Fisher House in their mission to provide free lodging to military families while their loved one recovers from their war injuries.

Wags4Tags, a local non-profit that connects veterans with rescue dogs, was one of this year’s featured organizations.

JT had to have a little attention whenever John Santa took a break
Steve Oglesbee and John Santa presented the special edition Martin guitar to Earl Einge to play for an entire year before it’s presented to the next veteran
And John Santa wrapped him in a quilt from the NC Tar Heel Quilters
Steve Oglesbee presented Bob Hight a special challenge coin
Then Steve Oglesbee and Kirby Heard wrapped veteran Bob Hight in a well-deserved quilt as well!
As night fell, the musicians played by the light of the music stands.
