Mama Juggs – a one-woman play on breast cancer awareness

May 26, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

| $25 inc French press tea or coffee and pastry0

On Sunday night May 26 we will be hosting a one-woman play, Mama Juggs, with ANITA WOODLEY. Anita is an award-winning actress, journalist, writer, director, improv performer, and visual artist. She is the creator of the solo performer shows Mama Juggs,  The Men in Me, and the 100 Living Rooms – Beauty Shop Breast Cancer Awareness Project touring throughout the US and Internationally.

MAMA JUGGS addresses issues of cancer and body image through an inspiring dramatic performance. Since 2009, Mama Juggs has reached beyond the theater to create life-saving dialogue about cancer to bring communities together. These difficult subjects are humanized and face head on in a 60-90 minute interactive solo performance that tells the real stories of three women in the actress Anita Woodley’s family when they lived in the Oakland projects.

Only 30 tickets will be available and performance includes a reception for Anita before the show and a lingering time together after. Play from 7-8:30 with a reception from 6-7PM and after-party from 8:30-10PM.

Cost is $25/person and includes a French press coffee or tea and a pastry (scone, cookie or muffin).
