The annual LEGO-Palooza at Morehead Planetarium — happening this year on January 26 and 27 — has been put on since 2005, delighting children and adults alike by transforming the planetarium into a palace of intricate LEGO creations and exhibits to wander through and plenty of blocks to spare for participants to build from their own imagination.

From roller coasters to major landmarks, trains to spaceships, LEGO-palooza plays host to exhibits constructed by the North Carolina LEGO Users Group as well as activities for kids to build on their own in a fantastical festival of LEGO throughout an entire weekend — complete with decorations, themed activities and even food trucks on hand to provide a much-needed lunch break.

The event is recommended for children ages six and older, but younger children are welcome to attend as well. You can find more information about the events and reserve your tickets here.
