In 1997, author and Oasis founder, Robert Roskind presented a play at The Carrboro ArtsCenter based on his best-selling book, Memoirs of an Ex-Hippie: Seven Years in the Counterculture.
This play/presentation, Further Adventures of an Ex-Hippie, covers the last 15 years during which Roskind authored a series of books with Rastafarian, Hopi and Mayan Elders and hosted over 200 free One Love Concerts & Events in schools, prisons, ghettoes, and public venues in Jamaica, Guatemala and the U.S. The play features video footage of the various Elders and events, all of which carries a message of unconditional love for all.
Only 30 tickets will be available and performance includes a reception before the show and a lingering time together after. Play from 7-8:30 with a reception from 6-7PM and after-party from 8:30-10PM. Cost is $20/person and includes a French press coffee or tea and a pastry (scone, cookie or muffin).
