The Chapel Hill Historical Society presents a panel to discuss “The History of African-American Education in Chapel Hill”

May 18 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

| Free

Panelists are Delores Clark, Esphur Foster, Esther McCauley, and Elaine Norwood. They will share memories of their school days in the old building that sat on the current site of Northside Elementary and served as a focal point for Chapel Hill’s tight-knit African-American community in days gone by. The program will take place at Northside Elementary School, which is located at 350 Caldwell Street in Chapel Hill. The Historical Society programs are free to attend, but becoming a member of the Historical Society or making a donation will continue to allow the Society to host such programs about the history of Chapel Hill and the surrounding communities. A reception will follow.
