“Hanging by a Thread” Opening Reception

The exhibit will feature mixed media paintings that combine slices of abstract acrylic paintings which are woven back together with threads on a loom. The two unrelated mediums of paint and fiber create something unexpected but true to the uniqueness of both materials. Threads conceal and obscure areas of the original painting adding additional layers of color and texture. This exhibit will run from March 25 until April 18.

At 7:30 p.m. on Good Friday, April 3, we will remember Jesus’ death and the events immediately preceding it with a cantata – “Saint Mark Passion” by Charles Wood. The cantata is a passion play based on the Gospel of Mark, beginning with the Last Supper and concluding with the crucifixion. Tim Baker will conduct and Alexander Anderson will play the intricate organ accompaniment. David Ray will be the narrator, and the Chancel Choir will serve as the angry crowds…
