Oasis at Carr Mill,
200 N Greensboro St A5, Carrboro, 27510 United States

This week at the Oasis! The Wisdom of the Hopis with Hopi Elder Radford Quamahongnewa (via video footage) and Robert Roskind (live). For almost 50 years, Radford has been the "eyes, ears and tongue" of the spiritual leaders of Sipaulovi - the mother village of the Hopis of Arizona. The Hopis are the modern day "Covenant People," striving to become "Hopi" - "All People Peaceful" - so that humankind will have an imprint in it's consciousness of one tribe, one society, living in peace. Radford is also the traditional snake priest, dancing with a live rattlesnake in his mouth and one in each hand. Radford was my collaborator for my book, The Beauty Path: A Native American Journey Into One Love, and he has much to say about the Hopi wisdom and prophecies. Join us for the magical evening! Details at “Evening Music & Presentations” We are open daily from 11am to 7pm as a coffeehouse/cafe (noon to 6pm on Sundays). At 7pm we transform into a gathering spot for connections, inspiration and information by offering life-affirming presentations on weekdays (7-8pm) and heart-centered live music or Spiritual Cinemas on Fridays and Saturdays (7-10pm).
