CHAPEL HILL – The second annual conference on Human Rights and the Humanities will take place at the National Humanities Center in Research Triangle Park this Thursday and Friday. The keynote address on Thursday evening will be from historian, author and Canadian politician Michael Ignatieff. CHAPEL HILL – Students hanging out in “The Pit” on UNC’s campus Wednesday reacted with disappointment and shock at Landen Gambill being charged with the Honor Court infraction of engaging in disruptive or intimidating behavior. Former UNC Employee Charged With 47 Counts Of Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor

CHAPEL HILL – Charged with 47 separate counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, Charles Hitlin, a former UNC employee, was arrested at his home in Pittsboro on Monday. “Chatham County Sheriff’s officers arrested Mr. Charles Hitlin just before 10:30 Monday night on warrants that were issued by our department, UNC Public Safety,” Information Specialist Randy Young says. Hitlin, who worked in UNC’s School of Public Health, was placed in the Chatham County Jail with a $250,000 secured bond. Chapel Hill Police Offers Email Address Tipline

CHAPEL HILL – Last week, theChapel Hill Police Department released new information in their investigation of the murder of Faith Hedgepeth last September. With the new information, the police department also created a new email address for tips. Police already had a tip line for people to call with additional information, but Sgt.
