In early March, FRANK distributed 2,000 self-addressed postcards as an invitation to individuals throughout the community to make a drawing of a person, place or think of personal significance and mail it back to FRANK. In the early morning hours of Memorial Day weekend, Veterans and loved ones gathered at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens to honor friends, family, and fellow brothers-in-arms by placing a flag at the marker for each fallen hero. Flag placement is a longstanding tradition that brings to light the true meaning of Memorial Day as a way of never forgetting those who served our country.
