    Hillsborough Holiday Parade

    Early morning rain and cold weather gave way to dry skies and Hillsborough’s Holiday Parade went off without a hitch. Floats from local businesses and organizations and other parade participants entertained the crowd that formed in downtown Hillsborough, and the weather managed to cooperate for a few hours to give everyone a great Saturday morning.

    The nationally-ranked Duke Blue Devils came to Chapel Hill on Saturday for the most anticipated match-up between the two teams in recent memory. No. 24 Duke managed to eke out a 27-25 victory after stopping the Tar Heels late in the fourth quarter.

    North Carolina vs. Old Dominion

    The Tar Heels (6-5) hosted Old Dominion University (8-4) on Saturday, November 23 at Kenan Stadium. Many school records were broken in route to a 80-20 victory by UNC. Quarterback Marquise Williams threw five first-half touchdowns, and Carolina’s fifth straight victory guaranteed bowl eligibility.
