The 9th Annual UNC Division of Physical Therapy Golf Tournament benefiting the Foundation for Physical Therapy and UNC’s Student Physical Therapy Association at The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge took place on Friday, September 12th. San Diego State at UNC – Game Gallery

The North Carolina Tar Heels (2-0) managed to hold San Diego State (1-1) to 27 points while scoring 31 of their own on Saturday night in Kenan Stadium. An interception in the end zone sealed an exciting come-from-behind victory for UNC on a “Stripe-Out” night and the Tar Heels remained undefeated in their quest for a ACC title and NCAA Football Playoff berth.

North Carolina vs. Liberty Flames

Saturday marked the opening of the UNC football season after an off-season focused on the quarterback competition. Freshman Mitch Trubisky joined incumbent starter Marquise Williams in a balanced attack against the Flames, and UNC overcame early stagnation to eventually win, 56-29.

Congratulations, Carrboro High class of 2014! This year’s graduating class from Carrboro High School arrived early and ready for the final graduation ceremony at the Dean Smith Center on UNC’s campus. fit4life Women’s Health Club Grand Opening and live remote with Ron Stutts

Located in Ram’s Plaza, fit4life Women’s Health Club – a great addition to Chapel Hill – held a Grand Opening event on Tuesday, May 13th, and WCHL was broadcasting live. Ron Stutts was on the mic, interviewing patrons and staff of the new 24-hour workout and fitness center. Bailey’s Sports Grille supplied the healthy snacks, and local vendors were invited to demonstrate goods and services, leaving everyone that stopped by totally satisfied.

Saturday, May 3rd marked the official opening of The Goddard School of Chapel Hill, an early childhood development center owned and operated by Seema Naik and her staff. Election Evening 2014

With the polls closing around Carrboro and Chapel Hill, hopeful candidates prepared for the final vote counts with friends and family. We caught up with some of the nominees on our way around the heart of Carrboro, as well as some of the volunteers that helped with this year’s elections. Candidates vied for position all over the county. Voting sites closed at 7:30pm on Tuesday. Carrboro town hall was a popular location for election signs.
